XRDI x Goldsmiths: Cutting-Edge Motion Capture
The XR Diversity Initiative (XRDI) has joined forces with Goldsmiths University to offer an innovative motion capture workshop in London on February 25th, 2023. This collaborative effort, supported by industry leaders Immerse UK, Color in Tech, and Meta, aims to provide participants with hands-on experience in various motion capture techniques, which is usually expensive and inaccessible.
The workshop features four specialized sessions, each focusing on a different aspect of motion capture technology:
Full Body Motion Capture with OptiTrack: Explore the capabilities of OptiTrack's advanced motion capture system for full-body tracking.
Facial Tracking for ARKit: Delve into the intricacies of facial motion capture using Apple's ARKit framework.
Motion Capture with Zed 2i: Learn about motion capture techniques using the Zed 2i camera system.
Motion Capture with Inverse Kinematics: Explore principles of inverse kinematics and its application in motion capture.
